Gas absorption medium, this aggregate fixes the atmospheric Co2 at the air intake inlet of the skimmer venturi.
Granules based on hydrated lime (Ca(OH)2) and a small amount of medical grade sodium hydroxide (NaOH) have a particle size of 2.5 to 3.5mm. They are specially designed to ensure a minimum level of dust generation and incorporate an indicator that colors the aggregate in purple when it is saturated with Co2.
Used in reef aquariums, CO2ABSORB allows an average increase in pH of between 0.2 and 0.4 points. This media is to be used exclusively in a filter upstream of the air intake of the skimmer, ideally with a direction of air circulation from top to bottom.
Never rinse or put the granules in the presence of water to avoid the formation of a conglomerate which would reduce the effectiveness of the media.
Handle with gloves, mask and goggles.
