Activated carbon ECOPACK 4L

Specially developed activated carbon for the treatment of aquarium water suitable for freshwater and seawater fauna. The leachate of this activated carbon guarantees a residual phosphate rate reduced to traces. The percolation of the aquarium water through the activated carbon eliminates toxic substances resulting from the decomposition of animal food and excrement. It also binds chlorine, ozone, chemical residues and coloring substances present in the water.

This special activated carbon is delivered in the form of 3mm diameter pellets with high abrasion resistance and surface hardness, thus limiting the formation of carbon powder likely to spread in water and has a neutral pH.

Recommended dosage for optimal filtration: 1g per liter of water to be treated, to be renewed every 3 months depending on the population of the aquarium. Yellowing of the tank water is an indication of the need for carbon replacement. Rinse and soak for a few hours in water before using in the aquarium to avoid the floating phase of the activated carbon pellets.
