Phosphate/silicate adsorb ECOPACK 4L
GFO Filtration medium specially developed for the treatment of freshwater and seawater aquarium water, this aggregate binds phosphates (PO4), but also silicates (SiO2), arsenic (AsO4), chromium (CrO4), lead (Pb), copper (Cu), molybdenum (Mo), nickel (Ni), selenium (Se), uranium (U), vanadium (Va), Zinc (Zn) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S).
Granules based on ferric oxide with a grain size of 2 to 4mm, trap phosphates, silicates and other heavy metals durably by adsorption, thus avoiding any risk of subsequent release into the aquarium water.
Used in seawater, it is necessary to ensure a sufficient flow rate of between 0.5 and 15 M3/H in order to avoid the formation of a conglomerate which would reduce the effectiveness of the media.
Rinse the aggregates before use, to limit the formation of fine abrasion powder likely to spread in the water of the aquarium. A slight disorder may appear at the start of treatment, it presents no risk to the living and disappears naturally.
Recommended dosage for optimal filtration in seawater: 25 to 50mL for 100 liters of water to be treated, to be renewed according to the evolution of the phosphate level measured regularly.
If used in a fluidized filter, provide mechanical filtration on Perlon at the reactor outlet.
