Calcium hydroxide CaOH2 is used to prepare lime water or Kalkwasser in order to supplement calcium in reef aquariums. Ideal for RAH+++PRO® and RAH+++XL® calcium reactors Calcium hydroxide can also be used to prepare milk of lime using the Régis Doutres method, for example.
Be careful when handling calcium hydroxide which has a very high pH. Wearing gloves, goggles and mask is recommended for safe handling.
Recommended dosage: 10-15g (1 tablespoon) for 10 liters of reverse osmosis water
